Obtaining Test Results
If a member of the practice team has arranged investigations for you it is important you know how to obtain the results. If it is a simple test you may have been told to ring so that the receptionist can give the result e.g. smear test or urine test. For more complex test such as x-rays or a series of blood tests, you would normally have been told to make another appointment to discuss the results with the doctor or nurse. Please do not assume the test is normal if you have not heard to the contrary.
